It is particularly important to us to create an atmosphere at events in which everyone can feel comfortable and safe. Being aware primarily means being conscious of one’s surroundings and sensitive to the environment. Our awareness team is approachable on site, supports people affected by boundary violations and/or discrimination, and creates a visible space for help and care. Our work is grounded in clear values such as respect, consent (“only yes means yes”), and zero tolerance for discriminatory or abusive behavior (take a look at our principles). A prerequisite for working with event organizers is the willingness of all involved to read, support, and implement our guidelines as a team. We work closely with security staff as well as bar and event personnel. As a general principle, the awareness team supports those affected, while security staff intervene in cases involving violent or abusive individuals.
Costs & Contact
We scale the costs for event support depending on the event and its context. We distinguish between funded and institutionalized projects/groups/initiatives, independent groups, and solidarity-based or primarily volunteer-run and unfunded projects/groups/initiatives.
Please let us know about your interest via the general contact form or by email.
